I will allow re-testing on Common Assessments and vocabulary quizzes starting with Common Assessment #2 and Week 6's vocabulary quiz (09/15). Please note that you will only have 2 weeks from the original test date to complete all the required steps and take the test. Do not delay or it might be too late.
In order to re-take a test, there are some steps you must take. Step 1: Print and fill out a re-testing information page. Your test/quiz should be in your mailbox file within a few days (1-2 for vocab quizzes, 2-3 for Common Assessments). You will need to look at it in order to fill out this form. Click the link to print the form. Step 2: For Common Assessments, you will need to do some practice with the skills you did not do well on. You will see that the test is divided by skills. Each skill section has it's own grade. This way, rather than redoing the entire test, you will only have to practice and redo the skills you had trouble with. There are pages you must complete as practice for the re-test. The pages can be found on the right side of this page. You will need to either print and complete the correct pages or answer the questions on your own paper, and show the finished pages to me for the option to re-test. For Vocabulary Quizzes, you will first need to write each word that was on the test along with the P.o.S. and definition 5x each. Then, you must create two original sentences for each word. Show me the completed activity for the option to re-test. Step 3: Re-take the test. The best times for me to allow re-tests will be after school beginning at 3:30pm. A vocabulary quiz shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes. However, Common Assessments will likely take longer. If re-testing in the afternoons is not a possibility, we can look at the possibility of a morning re-test. I'm not able to get to school before 7:30am, so if you need more time, we will have to set that up prior to scheduling the re-test. |
